Biggleswade AC girls get down and dirty, all for a good cause

A small group of Biggleswade AC ladies were completely outside of their comfort zone as they participated in the Race for Life Pretty Muddy at Bedford – a 5K, obstacle-scattered, off road course with, you guessed it, lots of mud!

The BAGs (Biggleswade Athletic Girls), wearing dressing gowns and shower caps, clambered enthusiastically over the inflatable hurdles, charged through muddy puddles, crawled through large tubes and under cargo nets, finishing with a carefully choreographed, team descent down a slide and into a bath of thick mud.

The team embraced the mud and thoroughly enjoyed the challenge, and have vowed to do this again next year. A huge thank you to all those who sponsored us … over £300 was raised for Cancer Research.

The BAGs are (left to right) Rachel Kenyon, Julia Mackay, Deb Bryant, Millie Bryant, Joanne Ellary and Georgia Barker.

The BAGs, before …
… and after!
