Seven are challenged by Oakley 20

The Oakley 20 mile road race is a must for those training for the London Marathon and this year seven Biggleswade Athletic Club runners were among the 790 other runners to tackle this challenging course.

First to finish for the club was Marc Deans in just under 2hrs 40 mins – Marc was fortunate to be one of the lucky winners of the club’s two London Marathon places.  Just behind Marc was Hannah Broom  supported by fellow club member, Rob Morgan.  Frank McLoughlin finished in just over 3 hours with Mel Brooks, Cat Marriott and Ros Bodi all finishing in under 4 hours.

Also competing at the weekend was John Frost who finished the Reading Half Marathon in 1hr 38mins.
