Each year, Biggleswade AC organises a weekend away to another part of the country. In previous years we have been to two locations in Derbyshire, the Cotswolds and, this year, the venue was in the heart of rural England … Sherwood Forest.
It was a promising start to the cross country season for junior member, Daniel Hemming, who completed the tough, undulating course of the Ampthill Trophy at the weekend. Daniel’s finish time of 8mins 21secs secured him 4th place in this age category and 9th overall.
Three Biggleswade Athletic Club members took part in the Fenland 10 mile road race on Sunday 18th October.
A team of sixteen Biggleswade AC runners took part in the Great East Run on Sunday 11th October.
Over the past few weeks there have also been some superb performances from the club’s veteran athletes.
Congratulations to Juliet Naylor and Paul Davies who were declared the Biggleswade Athletic Club 10K champions following a hotly contested Standalone 10K at Letchworth on Sunday 4th October. There was also a 3rd place finish, and a new personal best time, for Craig Brown.
The 10 mile club champions were decided at Swineshead on Sunday 13th September with two new names making it to the role of honour for this year. Congratulations to Juliet Grimwood and Marcus Davey who are the 10 Mile Club Champions for 2015.
